Hello Everyone,
My name is William Glover and I am the President, for the 2010-2011 year, of the Rotary Club of Ocoee.
My primary task as the new president of Ocoee is to revitalize and enhance the image of Ocoee Rotary and enable us to navigate through the midst of these difficult days of economic change, nurture our current members so they remain committed and encourage future growth so that we may be able to better serve the people of Ocoee, the district and international and to support the core values of Rotary International in “Building Communities – Bridging Continents.”
Our membership is comprised of local residents, business professionals and community leaders who strive to exemplify the Rotary International motto of “Service Above Self” in their lives.
Some of the services to our community are: The scholarship program for Ocoee High School Seniors, the Interact Program at OHS, sending students to RYLA the Rotary Youth Leadership program, Ocoee Founder’s Day and the Annual Ocoee Spring Fling event. We also support other local community groups such as the Christian Service Center and the Oakland Nature Preserve.
The Rotary Club of Ocoee has a strong fellowship and networking component amongst our members. We enjoy working, playing and laughing together and forming new friendships with our speakers and guests. The self satisfaction that one can achieve in following the object of Rotary is endless.
Our club is open to all people who want to make a difference in our community and internationally.
Come, share breakfast and fellowship with us, check us out, see if we have what you want and help make an appreciable difference in the lives of the people who reside in Ocoee and surrounding communities in which we serve.
